Request for Quote - Yass Old WTP Tank - Partial Demolition Works

Description: 

An existing tank which has not been in use since 1990 and is located near the footprint of proposed Telstra Communication Tower. Partial demolition of the tank within the Old Water Treatment Plant and associated works are required to enable to protect proposed Telstra Communication Tower.

The works include all planning, mobilisation, asbestos removal and disposal, structural support of the remaining tank structure, vegetation clearing, demolition of the nominated concrete structure, transportation and disposal of demolition waste, and site reinstatement as required. Due to the age of the structure, the existing tank foundation details cannot be confirmed, and additional foundation demolition may be required.

All work shall be completed by 15 October 2026 and within 15 working days from the commencement of work at the site.

Council will be holding a mandatory on-site meeting on 12 August 2026 at 10 at the Yass Water Treatment Plant Premises at 24 Cooks Hill Road, Yass NSW 2582.
