Temporary road closure for Christmas on Comur Street celebrations

Yass Valley Council advises residents, businesses and visitors that part of Comur Street, Yass, will be temporarily closed to traffic as part of the 2026 Christmas on Comur Street celebrations.

The temporary traffic arrangements will be implemented in accordance with the approved Traffic Guidance Scheme (TGS):

Location: Comur Street, Yass from Polding Street to Rossi Street

Date:Thursday 10 December 2026
Closure times:4:30PM
Expected reopening: 9:00PM

During the closure, motorists will be unable to travel through the affected section of Comur Street. Traffic control, temporary signage and barriers will be installed in accordance with the approved TGS to safely manage vehicles and pedestrians around the event area.

Plan your journey

Motorists are encouraged to allow additional travel time and plan an alternative route while the road closure is in place.

Access to properties and businesses within the affected area may be temporarily changed during the event. Motorists and pedestrians are asked to follow all temporary traffic signs and directions from authorised traffic controllers.

The closure and traffic arrangements are temporary and will be removed once it is safe to reopen the road.
