YOUR LIFE
Working Week: Full time employees work a standard 35 or 38-hour week.
Rostered Day Off: Full Time employees are entitled to a 9-day fortnight that allows for a rostered day off.
Annual Leave: Four weeks paid annual leave per year for full time employment, with pro-rata available for part time employment.
Long Service Leave: 6.5 weeks Long Service Leave available after 5 years full time continuous service completed, pro-rata amount for 5 years part time continuous service.
YOUR WELLBEING
Sick Leave: 3 weeks paid sick leave per annum for full time employment, with pro-rata available for part time employment, accumulative when unused.
Health and Wellbeing Leave: Access to 2 Health and Wellbeing days per annum (payment for these days is taken from sick leave entitlements).
Wellbeing: A range of health and wellbeing initiatives are offered throughout the year.
Employee Assistance Program: Access to a confidential Employee Assistance Program (Access EAP) for employees and their family.
Free Vaccinations: Free annual vaccinations for the Flu and free vaccinations if the position requires Hepatitis A and B, Tetanus or Q Fever.

YOUR FAMILY
Carer’s Leave: Sick leave entitlements can be used as Carer’s Leave when required to care for a family member and relatives.
Paid Parental Leave: 9 weeks at full pay or 18 weeks at half pay.
Other Leave Entitlement are available as per Local Government (State) Award 2023.

YOUR MONEY
Transferred Leave Entitlements: If you are currently working with another NSW Local Government Council, you can transfer your Long Service Leave up to 5 years and Sick Leave entitlements up to 13 weeks as per Local Government (State) Award 2023.
Salary: Salary is paid fortnightly into your nominated bank account.
Rates and Water: Automatic pay deductions can be set up if you are a Yass Valley Resident.
