Yass Community Centre Renovation

Yass Community Centre will be renovated under grant funding secured during Round 5 of the Stronger Country Communities Fund. Upgrades to the ground floor of the Yass Valley Community Centre will improve the functionality and useable space of this multi-purpose building.

This project will deliver a fit for purpose, multi-functional building that will enable a diverse range of users to access and benefit from social, cultural, recreational, and creative opportunities.

Works will include:

  • Removal of current building hazards
  • Undertake roof repairs and painting
  • Upgrade external perimeter lighting
  • Removal of road house sign
  • Improve storage facilities
  • Install IT equipment for training purposes
  • Bathroom renovations

Start date: Monday 29 September 2025 (weather permitting).  

Finish date: Friday 19 December 2025.

Update: The Community Centre will be closed from 23 October 2025 to 30 November 2025 while works near the access to the building are carried out.
