YVC.PE.02.2025 - Yass Valley Library Roof Replacement

Council has received funding under the NSW Government Local Roads and Community Infrastructure Fund to replace the old roof sheeting and gutters of Yass Valley Public Library located at 88 Comur Street. The objective of the project is to undertake major building improvements to reduce the maintenance costs and extend the life of the facility.

The carpark located behind the library will be partially closed off to accommodate a storage area for materials during the works.

The library will operate under its normal opening times while works are undertaken.

The community will be notified of any other minor disruptions.

 

Contract awarded to: Murphy's Remedial Builders Pty Ltd

Duration of works: Approximately 6 weeks

Ongoing Access and Updates

Council aims to keep the Yass Public Library open to the public for the remainder of the project wherever possible. However, specific areas may be temporarily barricaded off while overhead work is being conducted to ensure public safety.

The public will be advised if there any further critical changes to the Yass Library operating hours.
