New online engagement platform ‘Your Voice Counts’ launched
Yass Valley Council has unveiled a new online community engagement platform ‘Your Voice Counts’ with an invitation to take part in the Yass Valley Library Activities Survey.
Designed to provide residents with a convenient and accessible way to participate in Council projects and decision-making processes, ‘Your Voice Counts’ will offer easier and varied online opportunities for community to have their say through surveys, comments, quick polls and other interactive tools.
Yass Valley CEO, Gayleen Burley, said “Your Voice Counts’ reflects Council’s ongoing commitment to transparent, inclusive, and meaningful community engagement. This online tool is designed to empower our community to share their thoughts on key issues, projects, and policies that matter to them, at a time and place that suits their needs,”
“Community participation plays a vital role in shaping Council’s priorities”, she continued. “The more voices we hear, the better we can understand the needs, concerns, and aspirations of our community. This input is crucial for shaping recommendations and making informed decisions on projects, services, and spending.”
Yass Valley Library Activities Survey
With the move to new Library planned for December 2025, Council is seeking feedback from community on the activities and events people would like to see in the new space. The new Library will provide more opportunities to grow and develop library programs, events, and activities - and the Library Activities Survey feedback will ensure Council delivers what the community wants and needs through existing and new Library programs.
The Library Activities survey can be completed online or in person at the Yass Valley Library.
Council remains committed to continuing face-to-face engagement through initiatives such as the monthly ‘Mornings with the Mayor’, attendance at the Yass Valley Business Chamber breakfasts and all other community events.
