We are moving! Temporary Closure Friday 1 May

Yass Valley Council has started the move into the new Crago Mill Precinct.

The new administration building will be open for business from Monday 4 May.

The current Yass Valley library will close on Monday 4 May for a week and will reopen on Saturday 9 May at the Community Opening Day, being held from 9.00am to 11.30am.

To facilitate the move, Council administrative staff will be providing reduced services on Friday 1 May with the customer service desk and planning services temporarily closed.  

What You Need Know:

• Customer Service: The current customer service counter will remain open for this week, with a brief closure for public enquiries on Friday 1 May. The new service desk located in the Crago Mill Administration Building will be open from Monday 4 May.

• Planning Services: Planning services will be temporarily closed for public enquiries on Friday 1 May.

• Yass Valley Library: The current library (behind the Memorial Hall) will close from Monday 4 May to allow for relocation. The library will reopen in the new Crago Mill library facility on Saturday 9 May after the official opening.

Can you help the library move? Community members are encouraged to borrow up to the limit of 30 books and return them once the new library opens. Please visit the current library for more information.

• Library Community Spaces: Public access to new community spaces will be available following the opening of the new library. Booking details will be released soon.

Come along for a special morning as we mark this exciting milestone for Yass Valley with a formal opening and ribbon cutting ceremony at 9.30am, followed by live music, children’s activities, and food – and an opportunity to explore the new Council buildings and library.
