Yass Valley’s Household Chemical CleanOut will be on again at Yass Transfer Station on Sunday 20 September between 8am - 3pm. 

Council holds special Household Chemical CleanOut days where residents in the Yass Valley can clean out their household chemicals the right way...and for free.

You can take up to a maximum of 20 litres or 20 kilograms of a single item of the following household chemicals and products – 

From your home:

• Solvents and household cleaners
• Floor care products
• Ammonia based cleaners
• Fluorescent globes and tubes
• Cooking oils

From your garage:

• Paint and paint-related products
• Pesticides and herbicides
• Poisons
• Gas bottles
• Fire extinguisher
• Pool chemicals
• Hobby chemicals
• Acids and alkalis
• Smoke detectors

From your car:

• Car and household batteries
• Motor oils and fuels

Business-related and commercial quantities of chemicals are not accepted. Please inquire with a commercial waste operator or visit Recycling Near You for commercial waste disposal.
