The 2024–25 pool season is off to a strong start and the warm late-Spring weather has encouraged many people to make the most of our local facilities in Yass and Binalong.

Lifeguard Accreditation – Late Opening at Binalong Pool on Saturday 22 November

Our lifeguards are undertaking their annual Lifeguard Accreditation on the morning of Saturday 22 November.

While they are expected to complete their assessments in good time, the process may delay the opening of Binalong Pool until approximately 1:00 pm. Yass Pool will be open as usual.

Morning Lap Swimming Begins Monday 1 December

For those who like to start their day with a swim, morning lap swimming at Yass Pool will commence on Monday 1 December.

Session Times:

• Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays: 6:00 am – 8:00 am
• January Schedule: Monday to Friday, 6:00 am – 8:00 am
  (Public holidays excluded – New Year’s Day and Australia Day)

Yass Swimming Carnival – Late Opening on Sunday 7 December

The Yass Swimming Club will host its annual swimming carnival on Sunday 7 December.

To accommodate the event, Yass Pool will be closed to the general public until 3:00 pm, after which normal admission will resume.

The school carnival program will start in February, with dates to be confirmed.
