Acres of stunning world-class gardens framed by weeping willows, and 1000 blossoms, paint the scene for almost a million tulips, daffodils and other flowers creatively planted.

Irish and Celtic Music Festival

For three days the town centre is filled with music, dance, poetry, markets, workshops, and plenty of good craic. All set within historic venues and leafy parks, just a short walk from one another.

Proudly run by local volunteers, the festival is a celebration of tradition, community, and connection. With family-friendly activities, lively performances, and cultural experiences.

H5N1 Avian Influenza

On Display Indefinitely

H5 bird flu (High pathogenicity H5N1 avian influenza) is a disease that affects birds. Some strains can spread quickly between birds and cause serious illness.
H5 bird flu has been detected in wild birds in NSW. There are currently no detections in commercial poultry flocks, captive birds or livestock in NSW, and the risk to human health remains low.

Watermain Cleaning Yass - 14-23 September 2026

On Display Indefinitely

Council advises the upcoming watermain cleaning that will be taking place across town. The cleaning will improve water quality and reduce discoloration incidents within Yass’s water supply network. The cleaning will take place across nine different zones as both day and night works. During the time of cleaning, households and businesses may experience temporary water supply interruptions.

Maintenance of Coolalie Road between Bango Lane and Bushes Road

On Display Indefinitely

As part of construction of HumeLink East, road maintenance will be undertaken on four kilometres of Coolalie Road between Bango Lane and Bushes Road.

HumeLink East will work to minimise disruption and keep delays to a minimum.
