Description:

Yass Valley Council is proposing the construction of a new gravity sewer link-main and other associated assets such as access chambers to divert flows from the existing Laidlaw Sewer Pump Station (SPS) to the Yarrah SPS1 in Yass, New South Wales NSW. The gravity sewer link main is to cross under an existing railway reserve operated by UGL and is in close proximity to an open stormwater channel.

The constructing of the new gravity sewer link-main crosses the railway reserve, requiring under-bore works. The work includes construction of the sewer reticulation, sewer manholes, testing, decommissioning and removing the existing Laidlaw SPS infrastructure, and managing ancillary works including temporary stockpiles and erosion and sediment protection measures. Site access is facilitated through an existing gravel track within the rail reserve.

This work aims to enhance operational efficiency, support ongoing residential development in the region, the implementation of a robust environmental management measures to minimise impacts on sensitive environments and local communities and compliance with UGL requirements in the railway reserve.

The purpose of this document is to invite suitably experienced contractors to submit tender for the works.
