Rye Park Wind Farm Community Enhancement Fund
Over $50,000 has been distributed to local community groups through Rye Park Wind Farm Community Enhancement Fund for 2025.
A total of $50,413.39 will be distributed to community projects across Yass Valley to support local initiatives and community-benefit activities.
Council received 24 applications, of which 23 were eligible, seeking a combined $104,350.87 in funding. Twenty applications were submitted from within the 20-kilometre priority radius and 3 from the wider Yass Valley region. 6 projects were submitted under the Education category.
The full funding pool has been allocated, with $13,454.00 (24%) awarded to Education projects. In total, 10 projects received full funding and 6 received partial funding, reflecting strong community interest across education, arts, events, environmental sustainability, and local facilities.

- Yass Railway Museum – Safety upgrades to the heritage centre site – $4,739.51
- Yass Montessori Preschool – Outdoor learning space enhancement – $4,850.00
- Yass Public School P&C Association – School Spectacular 2025 participation – $6,000.00
- Yass Valley Concert Band – Electronic mallet station and accessories – $3,456.00
- Yass Golf Club Limited – Installation of a water pressure sustaining valve – $3,696.00
- Yass High School P&C Association – Two 3D printers to support STEM learning – $3,998.00
- RSL LifeCare Linton Village – Smart TV for residents – $1,995.00
- Yass Show Society – Resurfacing of stable yards – $2,700.00
- Yass Landcare Group – Seedling propagation project – $2,714.50
- CWA NSW Yass Branch – Gwen Warmington Lodge Fruit Run – $1,000.00

Yass Valley Council acknowledges the ongoing support of the Tilt Renewables Rye Park Wind Farm Community Enhancement Program in strengthening local communities, and commends all applicants for their dedication to improving the region. The funded projects will deliver long-lasting benefits across education, community participation, wellbeing, and local infrastructure.
The 2026/2027 Rye Park Wind Farm Community Enhancement Funding Program is scheduled to open for community applications in July 2026.
