Free entry to pool this Tue, Wed and Thu

Beat the heat! With temps hitting high 30's and 40's midweek, we are providing free entry to Yass and Binalong pools this Tue 27, Wed 28 and Thu 29 Jan.

Children under 11 must be supervised by an adult and pool staff reserve the right to refuse entry if pool capacity has been reached.
Open: Yass 10am-7.30pm; Binalong 1-7.30pm. Normal conditions of entry apply. Head on down and beat the heat!

Waste Transfer Site Closures

Waste Transfer Site Closures - Until Friday 30 January

Due to the forecast extreme temps, combined with staff safety concerns, the following waste transfer stations will be closed until Fri 30 Jan 2026 (reopening Sat 31 Jan).

Closed - Binalong, Bookham, Bowning, Wee Jasper and Gundaroo
Open - Yass and Murrumbateman will remain open during this period.

The Great Rotary Duck Race

Great weather for ducks!

300 ducks will be launched off the Hume Bridge into the Yass River at the Official Opening of Riverbank Park. The first three ducks to shore will be the 1st, 2nd and 3rd prize winners! There will be 9 lucky winners on the day! With a total prize pool of AUD1,050. Ducks are sold in front of Woolworths Yass at $5 a duck.
