Murrumbateman Amenities Facility Formal Opening

Join us for the official opening of the new 'Murrumbateman Recreation Ground Multipurpose Amenities Facility' - a significant upgrade that will benefit the local sporting and wider Yass Valley community for years to come.

The opening ceremony will take place on Saturday, 5 July 2025, at 11.45am, coinciding with a major local football day - with teams from the Yass Roos and Murrumbateman Eagles competing in both men’s and women’s competitions.

The facility will be officially opened by Mr Bob Nanva MLC, NSW Government Spokesperson, alongside Member for Goulburn Wendy Tuckerman MP and Yass Valley Mayor Jasmin Jones.

This project was made possible through a $1.4 million grant from the NSW Government’s Multi-Sport Community Facility Fund 2022–23, with an additional $700,000 co-contribution from Yass Valley Council. In addition to the new amenities facility, the project also included upgrades to the internal access road and new accessible public toilets – improvements that have been warmly welcomed by the community.

All members of the community are invited to attend the celebrations, enjoy the BBQ and cheer on our local teams.
