Council takes animal education and control very seriously.
Pets play a positive role in our community and bring pleasure and companionship to many of our residents. Council balances the needs of pets and their owners with the needs of the wider community through our policies and services.
Our Rangers are passionate about responsible pet ownership and companion animal education. Part of being a responsible pet owner means keeping your pet secure, ensuring they are microchipped, registered and wearing a collar with identification. It also means employing strategies to prevent your pet from becoming a nuisance, either from barking or roaming. Ranger Services are always happy to talk to pet owners about ways to address these issues.
