The Minister for Water, Property and Housing is seeking nominations for board appointments to the Marchmont Racecourse Land Manager.

Appointments are for up to five years and are voluntary. It is expected that members of the board live within or close to the reserve.

Transport for NSW: Motorists to slow down in Yass Valley

The drive through Yass will be safer from next month with changes to speed limits in Yass Valley local government area.

Transport for NSW Director South West Lindsay Tanner said Transport for NSW carried out a review of speed zones on Gums Lane and Laidlaw Street at Yass to improve safety.

Discharge of partially treated effluent

Icon Water advises that due to the heavy rain over the past three days infiltrating the sewerage system, the Lower Molonglo Water Quality Control Centre treatment plant is expected to discharge a small amount of partially treated effluent into the Molonglo River. This is expected to occur within the next hour as the rain continues.
