More than $427,000 in damage occurred to roads, parks and infrastructure following flooding across the weekend of 7-9 August, resulting in the declaration of a natural disaster zone for the Yass Valley.

Transport for NSW: Motorists to slow down in Yass Valley
The drive through Yass will be safer from next month with changes to speed limits in Yass Valley local government area.

Discharge of partially treated effluent
Icon Water advises that due to the heavy rain over the past three days infiltrating the sewerage system, the Lower Molonglo Water Quality Control Centre treatment plant is expected to discharge a small amount of partially treated effluent into the Molonglo River.
