COVID Community Support
Here is a database of community groups in the Yass Valley supporting those most vulnerable during the Coronavirus (COVID-19) health crisis. Please email Council@yass.nsw.gov.au to list your group.
Yass Community Assistance Group
Free assistance for those in the community facing difficulties shopping for their groceries and getting around town during this time of self-isolation and social distancing. The group of community volunteers offer:
- Shopping and home deliveries
- Click and Collect from Woolworhts or IGA, prescriptions etc from Priceline and Millers Pharmacy.
- Tips on homeschooling.
Yass Library has teamed up with Yass Community - COVID assistance group to enable a home delivery book service those self-isolating or homebound.
The volunteers will also collect your Click and Collect Library order and return if for you. If you, or someone you know, is at home and in need of some of the fantastic resources (books, DVDs, audiobooks, magazines etc.) the Library has available, give the team a call on 6226 1305 or email firstname.lastname@example.org
