Working Together for our Community

Working for Yass Valley Council means you'll be joining a dedicated and supportive team where your efforts are part of a bigger picture. You will be an active player in working towards achieving great things for our community as outlined in the Community Strategic Plan.

Long serving employees are recognised for their loyal service to Council. Employees who have reached significant milestones in their years of service receive a framed certificate, presented by the Mayor.

All permanent employees of Council are welcome and encouraged to join the Social Club for a small fortnightly membership fee. A wide range of events are held on a regular basis for members to attend and enjoy!

At Council we strive for a culture of health and safety right across the organisation. We are committed to providing a safe and healthy workplace for everyone with a focus on developing:
