Neighbouring councils working together for the greater good

Yass Valley Council has endorsed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with neighbouring councils Goulburn Mulwaree and Upper Lachlan Shire, recognising that more can be achieved by working together.

The MoU was made between the councils with the aim of achieving better results, efficiencies and savings. It will become the framework policy under which any collaborative arrangement is to be negotiated or implemented.

Pedestrian safety improvements near Berinba Primary School

Pedestrian safety improvements near Berinba Primary School will commence on Monday 25th June 2018.

The works will include the construction of pedestrian blisters and a refuge island on the corner of Grand Junction Road and Church Street. The intersection will be under traffic control, so parents need to be aware of changes to traffic during drop off and pick up. Bus access will not be impacted.
