TRAFFIC ALERT: TEMPORARY CLOSURE OF THE MCINTOSH CIRCUIT SHARED PATH FROM ISABEL DRIVE TO CABERNET WAY FOR CONSTRUCTION WORKS

Please note: This work is not carried out by Council, If you have any questions regarding this detour please call Mr Pasan Galappaththi from Woden Contractors on 0466 490 811 or Mr Peter Evans from CBR Consulting on 0427699118.

As part of the construction works for stage 3 of the “Fields” development the shared path along McIntosh Circuit between Isabel Drive and Cabernet Way will be required to be upgraded.

The works will involve the trenching of electrical and NBN infrastructure, installation of stormwater infrastructure and earthworks in the verge for the lifting of the levels to suit the new development and driveway entrances (you may notice the existing path is quite undulating vs the McIntosh Circuit road levels). A new asphaltic concrete path will be constructed to replace the existing path.

To allow these works to be undertaken it is not safe for pedestrians to continue to use the path during these construction works and there is no available path option on the eastern side of McIntosh Circuit,

This section of footpath will be closed to all users for the duration of the works. We anticipate the works will commence on Monday 11 September 2023 to approximately Friday 27 October 2023 depending on weather. During the disruption all users will be directed by signs to detour via paths along, Isabel Drive, Grenache Way and Cabernet Way. This detour is an extra 1200m.

The bus stop at Woodleigh Drive/McIntosh Drive intersection will remain open during school days and stop go personnel will be placed at the intersection between the below hours to facilitate the safe crossing for school children.:

  • 7:00 –9.00am
  • 3:00pm – 5:00pm

It is important for your safety that if you are using this route that you do not walk along the McIntosh road shoulder verge.

We are sorry for any inconvenience caused and we will endeavour to complete these works as quick as possible to minimise this disruption.

If you have any questions regarding this detour please call Mr Pasan Galappaththi from Woden Contractors on 0466 490 811 or Mr Peter Evans from CBR Consulting on 0427699118.
