Library Chit Chat - 19 October 2009

Some of the new titles at Yass Library include:

MasterChef : MasterClass (DVD)
'MasterClass' brings together Gary Mehigan and George Calombaris’ Friday night classes from the successful MasterChef television series. Gary and George shared some of the skills and techniques learnt over the course of their prestigious careers. The MasterClass DVD features twelve easy to follow, clearly instructed classes, with 2-3 recipes covered in each class.

The Burning Land by Bernard Cornwell
This is the fifth novel in a series by Bernard Cornwell that tells of Englands history and of the final assaults on Alfreds Wessex. It explains how Wessex survived to become England was because men like Uhtred defeated an enemy feared throughout Christendom.

Digital Photography Q & A : great tips and hints from a top pro by Paul Harcourt Davies This book has been revised and updated with easy-to-understand advice and the latest information on digital technology. It is fully illustrated with example shots and screen grabs. This book provides you with enough ideas and tips to ensure you are able to take full advantage of your camera, computer photo enhancement methods and printing.

Itsy-bitsy Babies by Margaret Wild and illustrated by Jan Ormerod
This is another great book for toddlers by Margaret Wild that has been delightfully illustrated by Jan Ormerod.

Donna Hay Magazine – October/November edition
This month’s issue is full of simple but sumptuous spring meals that everyone will love. There are yummy pizza and biscuit recipes to help tantalise the tastebuds.
