2017 Yass Valley Business Awards
Yass Valley Business Chamber is pleased to announce the first ever Yass Valley Business Awards.
This year there will be 5 Categories for Businesses to enter or be nominated in.
Country Roads Safety 2.0
The highly successful Country Road Safety campaign run in March-April 2016 will be launched in its second iteration, with new Local Government partners coming on-board to spread the road safety message.

Friendship City to be established with Wuzhou, China
With a population of 3.5 million people, Wuzhou is considered a small city by Chinese standards, but with a proud history of agriculture, it was the perfect fit to establish a “Friendship-City” partnership with Yass, for the benefit of the entire Yass Valley.
Library to trial membership suspensions over fines
Yass Valley Library are removing library fines for lost or late returns and replacing the system with a six month trial of suspended memberships to encourage members to return library resources.
Lions & Council join forces for centenary celebrations
Lions Clubs around Australia are donating more than $100,000 to over 100 local projects as part of the Lion’s Community 100 Program to celebrate 100 years working with local communities. Yass Valley will benefit from this Program with the Lions Club of Yass working alongside Council to construct a rotunda in Riverbank Park.

Assisting community organisations and groups in Yass Valley to achieve their goals is the aim behind Council’s Donations Policy, with funds committed annually in the budget.
