Situated at the entrance to the Yass Library is a plaque in memory of the late Miss Selina Pembroke. The plaque reads, “In appreciation of services rendered as Librarian of this institute for 60 years”.
In honour of Miss Pembroke and her remarkable achievement of being the Librarian at Yass from 1873 to 1933 we are having an afternoon tea. This will be held at the Yass Library on Wednesday 18th November from 2pm. The cost will be $5 per person. RSVP by Monday 16th November on 6226 1305 or in person at the Library.
All proceeds from the afternoon tea will be used to place a memorial plaque at the gravesite of Selina Pembroke. Also, if you are a relative of Miss Pembroke we would love to hear from you.
