Public and Community Transport

Public and community transport helps ensure all our residents can travel around Yass Valley. Council has Travel Education service and a Town Bus.

Public transport options

Buses

‘2582’ Yass Town Bus – 6226 4555
The 2582 bus service, is for people living in Yass and Murrumbateman who need to travel into and around Yass town. With multiple pick up spots, you can use the bus for your errands and to get from one side of town to the other.

To arrange pickup simply call 6226 4555 and you will be picked up at your address and dropped off where you need to go. You can then arrange with the bus driver to pick you up.

Concession card holders: $2.50 single trip or $7 all day ticket
Non concession: $4 single trip or $8 all day ticket

  • The 2582 runs every Monday from 9am to 1pm and every Friday from 9am to 2.30pm. It does not run on public holidays or between Christmas and New Year.
  • It goes to Murrumbateman on Fridays (on request).
  • There is an assistant on the bus on Mondays, should you require support.
